THE WALC PHILOSOPHY
The philosophy of Walc House is essentially to provide a family 'home-from-home'. Clients are cared for 24 hours every day, but this is within an environment as closely matching 'typical' family life as possible.
Independence and freedom of choice is actively encouraged, whilst offering specialist and appropriate levels of staff support and input where required.
We are committed to supporting our clients in fulfilling their full potential whilst providing them with the freedom to independently choose from a range of structured activities specifically tailored to meet the needs of clients
As a service we aim to act in the best interests of the clients and strongly believe we act first and foremost as mentors. As such we hope to set good examples of practice in partnership with our clients to promote independent, full and active living. |
